St.
Peter's School
St. Peters
School
is an MNSAA accredited institution serving children in grades K-6 since 1888.
The administration, faculty and staff believe each child deserves the
opportunity to reach his/her potential by developing their gifts and talents.
Those associated with
St. Peters
School
feel privileged to provide an education, which enables each child to grow in
Christ's love. The school's success is attributed to the strong partnership
between the parents and staff who work together for the benefit of all our
children.
Mission
Statement
St. Peter's School
is a Catholic faith community where all members are dedicated to assisting
parents in a child's total development.
Philosophy
We believe that each child is a
unique and important gift from God. The school provides a Christian
atmosphere where the child can grow as a total person: Spiritually,
intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically.
Our Catholic faith is reflected in curriculum that is taught in a
disciplined environment and that encourages intellectual growth, nurtures faith
and inspires Christian action. Our
educational environment is designed to prepare the child to become a
responsible adult who can function in the faith community and in society as a
strong Christian.
Goals
Our goal is to provide an
environment, build relationships and integrate curriculum reflecting Gospel
values based on love, respect, trust, peace and personal responsibility:
To motivate and guide our students to think, to judge and to act according to
Christian principles.
To assist parents in developing, in their children, an understanding and
appreciation of our Catholic faith and heritage.
To promote academic excellence within curriculum, appropriate to the individual
needs, skills and abilities of each student.
To assist children in developing sensitivity and concern to issues of social
justice and responsible stewardship.
To provide a non-threatening environment in which we help children discover
their potential and accept their limitations.
To help students understand their place in Church and society in order to become
contributing members.
